Steve Gold's $10.8M Soho Loft Up for Sale Amid Family Growth

Steve Gold, known from ‘Million Dollar Listing New York’, is gearing up to put his stunning three-bedroom, 3½-bath loft in Soho on the market for a whopping $10.8 million. This decision is not driven by mere luxury but rather by a special reason – the imminent arrival of a new family member!

Located atop the historic five-story building at 22 Wooster St., originally built in 1920, Gold’s penthouse boasts a blend of cast-iron and brick aesthetics that exude charm and elegance.

Initially listed at $9.95 million in December 2021, the property caught the eye of many when it was featured in Architectural Digest. However, Gold decided to hold off on selling after receiving an offer, citing that he and his partner Luiza Gawlowska, along with their adorable daughter Rose, were not quite ready to part ways with their beloved home.

As their family grows once more, Gold shared exclusively with Gimme Shelter that it’s time for a larger living space. While the couple contemplates several options, including a potential move to One High Line, they are firm on staying in the city.

Although Gold invested in a stunning $7.3 million Greenwich, Conn., estate in 2022, he clarified that it’s solely intended as an investment property, with no plans to relocate there permanently.

The penthouse, situated on the fifth floor and meticulously renovated ‘down to the studs’, boasts captivating features such as arched windows, 11-foot ceilings, exposed beams and columns, and luxurious 16-inch-wide hardwood floors. The renovation also included the addition of 14 new windows, five skylights, imported stone from Italy, and bespoke Venetian plasterwork by artist Benjamin Lai.

Opening from a key-locked elevator, the light-filled loft showcases a spacious great room with charming cobblestone street views and the versatility for an open living and dining area. Notable highlights encompass floating art walls, a rounded alcove (currently a ‘TV nook’), and potential rooftop access through a private outdoor space agreement.

The lavish penthouse also features a sky-lit chef’s kitchen equipped with an island seating six, a second kitchen with premium appliances, and a cozy home office tucked away off the main living area.

The main bedroom suite boasts dual walk-in closets with sleek metal and glass shelving, a spa-like bath with radiant heat floors, and a serene ambiance that complements the overall sophisticated design of the property.

Situated between Grand and Canal streets, the 13-unit building offers a unique and luxurious urban living experience that blends history with modern comforts, making it a prime real estate gem in bustling Soho.
