Bronx Education Worker Arrested for Texting Minors Inappropriately

A shocking incident has unfolded in the Bronx involving a city Department of Education worker who has been arrested for allegedly sending inappropriate texts to four boys, as reported by the NYPD. The suspect, identified as London King, aged 35, faces serious charges including four counts of acting in a manner injurious to a child and aggravated harassment. Court documents verified the identity of the defendant as London King.

The ordeal began when King was initially apprehended around 2:30 p.m. on a Thursday for purportedly sending harassing text messages to an underage boy on March 6, according to authorities. However, this arrest was just the tip of the iceberg. Subsequently, on Friday, King was again taken into custody following three more complaints related to alleged incidents occurring on Oct. 20, Jan. 4, and March 1, stated the NYPD.

Surprisingly, King was released without bail after the first arrest, only to find himself behind bars once more after the series of new complaints surfaced. Even though the Bronx District Attorney’s office objected, court records reveal that King was, once again, granted release without bail.

Amidst these developments, there remains uncertainty surrounding King’s job title and assignment within the Department of Education, with no confirmation available as of Saturday afternoon. Strikingly, attempts to solicit responses from both the Bronx DA’s office and the Department of Education proved futile as they did not return any messages.

This unsettling situation raises concerns about the safety and well-being of minors within the education system. It serves as a stark reminder of the importance of vigilance and accountability in safeguarding our children from potential harm. As the legal proceedings unfold, the community eagerly awaits further updates on this distressing case.
