Missing Kansas Moms Mystery: Four Arrested in Oklahoma

Four individuals have been taken into custody by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation in connection to the disappearance of two Kansas mothers, Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley. The arrest included Tad Bert Cullum, Tifany Machel Adams, Cole Earl Twombly, and Cora Twombly, who were suspected of kidnapping and murdering the two women. Butler, 27, and Kelley, 39, were last seen driving through the Oklahoma panhandle on March 30. The women, who were acquaintances, had plans to pick up Butler’s children in Eva, Oklahoma.

The suspects, charged with two counts of First-Degree Murder, two counts of Kidnapping, and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Murder in the First Degree, were apprehended and booked into the Texas County Jail. Adams, the grandmother of Butler’s children, and Cullum, her boyfriend, were among those arrested. Cole and Cora Twombly, also detained, are friends with Adams. Law enforcement activities were observed at various locations, including Adams’ residence in Cimmaron and Texas Counties.

The disturbing discovery unfolded when the mothers’ abandoned vehicle was found off Oklahoma State Highway 95, 1,000 feet from the road and 3 miles from their intended destination. Foul play was suspected due to the presence of blood both outside and inside the vehicle, signaling a potentially sinister turn of events. Butler’s contentious custody battle with the children’s father further complicates the situation, with her pursuit of full custody contributing to tensions with Adams, who reportedly had custody of the children at the time of Butler’s disappearance.

As the investigation into the case continues, the whereabouts of Butler and Kelley remain unknown, leaving authorities concerned about their well-being. The arrests of the four individuals shed light on a tragic and puzzling incident that has gripped communities and law enforcement agencies across Oklahoma. Stay tuned for further updates as the story unfolds.
